Xogot: Godot for iPad - Available on the App Store
We’re thrilled to announce that Xogot, our native port of the Godot game engine for iPad, is now available on the Apple App Store!

Xogot brings the full power of Godot 4.4 to a touch-first, iPad-native experience - complete with an integrated code editor, 2D and 3D scene editors, debugger, and more. Whether you're just getting started or you're an experienced developer, Xogot offers a portable, approachable way to build games on the go.
Why We Built Xogot
We love our iPads. Over the years, we've seen them evolve from content consumption devices into powerful tools embraced by creators across various disciplines. With the introduction of professional-grade apps like Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro for iPad, alongside industry favorites like Procreate, Nomad Sculpt, and Uniform, the iPad has firmly established itself as a cornerstone in the creative community.

And yet, for game developers, there’s been a gap.
We believe that the time is right for game development to feel at home on iPad - enabling game developers to enjoy the same creative freedom that touch-based tools offer artists, musicians, and designers. Our goal was to bring the full power of Godot to iPad while designing an experience that invites you to pick up your device and start building.
A Native Experience
From the ground up, Xogot is designed for iPad.
The user interface was rewritten with love using SwiftUI following Apple's HIG and WWDC guidance. We do not think that this project would have been possible without SwiftUI, over 99% of the code that we wrote is SwiftUI.
At the same time, Xogot projects are fully compatible with desktop Godot, so you can move back and forth freely between iPad and Mac or PC.

All of this is powered by an open source runtime, so you can share, build, and distribute your games without commercial restrictions.
Built for Touch
Many tools in Xogot have been redesigned for a hands-on creative experience:
- Touch-friendly 2D and 3D Scene Editors with native floating toolbars.
- We rewrote and optimized for touch the Sprite Editor, Animation Editor and TileMap Editors.
- We replaced the Godot Text Editor with native code editors for Shaders and GDScript with syntax highlighting and autocomplete

A Complete Godot Experience
Under the hood, Xogot is based on Godot 4.4, and includes a full suite of development tools:
- Full debugging experience, including stepping, variable inspection, stack-traces
- Integrated access to Godot’s API docs.

- And a built-in Starter Project Browser, where you can download and jump into FPS, platformer, or action RPG projects with just a tap.

You can open and save projects directly from iCloud Drive or from Git repositories via Working Copy or iSH.
Made for iPad
Xogot takes full advantage of modern iPad features:
- Use Stage Manager to arrange windows across multiple displays
- Draw and manipulate directly with Apple Pencil
- Playtest with Bluetooth controllers, keyboards, or trackpads
Share Your Games on the Web
Xogot currently supports WebAssembly export, making it easy to share your creations. You can export and share builds of your projects with just a few taps.

One-time Unlock - Not a Subscription
Xogot is a one-time purchase - not a subscription - and it unlocks Xogot permanently. Your purchase includes one year of updates and support, with the option to renew for continued updates in the future. After one year, you can purchase an upgrade to gain access to new features released after your update period ends.
